| An International Conference entitled ‘Trauma Management, Critical and Prevention’ will be held at the Intercontinental Resort in Al Ain from 17-19 February 2009 with four Workshops being held on the preceding day. The Conference is an initiative of the Trauma Research Group at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS), United Arab Emirates University in collaboration with Tawam Hospital in affiliation with Johns Hopkins Medicine International and Al Ain Hospital/Va Med. This International Conference will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and knowledge concerning trauma management, critical care, prevention and education, as well as strategies for optimization of clinical care and prevention. The meeting will focus on recent advances and controversies through interaction with renowned international speakers. The Conference will be a full three day program, and will be structured in the form of plenary and parallel lectures and symposia, as well as oral and poster presentations. It will provide a welcome opportunity to further continuous education in Trauma management and its related fields.
